Santa and the Playset
The night was dark and the night was blue
Down into the town Santaās sleigh flew
Full of gifts all sorts a plenty
This year he has playsets, playsets so many.
A playset is beautiful and makes children laugh
Santa will put them together using a photograph?
Santa empties the wood into the backyard
Boy that stuff is heavy – it lands very hard
Santa looks at the photo and looks at the pile
Of redwood and slides, screws and hardware a mile
To put this together will take time, sweat and might
On Christmas Eve there wouldnāt be enough light!
āOh my!ā says Santa, āThere has been a mistake,
If I start hammering now the kids will awake!ā
He calls Backyard Fun Factory, to ask for advice
How to set up these playsets, and make them look nice
Quietly and quickly it will have to be
Many houses are waiting, theyāre waiting for me

And arranged the other gifts by the Christmas treeās glow
With a wink and a smile thatās brighter than bright
