A Fun Friend Awaits…
Summer has ended
The travels have stopped
No more swimsuits to wear
All the boats have been docked
The Water Parks are closing
The kids are in school
No one to run splashing
The slides were so cool
No time to visit relatives
In far reaching towns
Oh how we loved seeing them
With hugs all around
So will we be sad?
Is staying home wrong?
No! we have something special
That has been there all along
An old friend that awaits
Little feet, and strong arms,
With so many parts
It’s just full of great charms
It’s a tall wooden friend
That is waiting out back
Full of fun and excitement
We don’t even have to pack
Just run into the backyard
To swing, slide, and explore
