Family Time in October
October is here. We love the beauty of the leaves changing colors and the nice chill in the night air. October blows through like a whirlwind. From leaves being kicked up at those Friday football games to the kids suddenly sitting in the floor counting their candy haul.
We love going to the pumpkin patch to get a pumpkin to carve. Spend some time getting lost in the maze is always fun, but the best part about visiting the pumpkin patch are the photo ops! Pictures of your children sitting around a pile of pumpkins, with little red wind-swept cheeks is the best part of the visit.
Busy Activities in the Fall
In October, Fall festivals and Halloween carnivals are next. The first thing is helping the kids find their costume. Fun games and Haunted houses, face painting and candy games for the kids. Halloween trick or treating lastly with Trunk or Treat events and some still go door to door.
With so many activities to go and do it makes for a busy schedule and the only family time is in the car running from one place to the other. Not sure about “family time” in your vehicle but the stress of the time to get there, the supplies needed for the next stop, forgotten items and hunger pains usually are the only topics at hand.
We all know how crazy things can get when we try to get to all the outside of home activities our kids want to do. Be sure to remember to plan time for your kids at home for some “family time”. Good family time is when parents and children can be together, sharing ideas, looking into eyes, and feeling healthy as a group.
The Best thing you can spend on kids is time.
Spending time at home with your family helps to create a better life for your kids! It helps with communication, self-esteem, closer relationships, emotional needs and Fun! Family time shouldn’t feel like a chore. The closest families find time to play together. Game nights are a terrific way to bond for family time. A deck of cards, board games and backyard activities.
